M.S. in Kinesiology-Coaching Education

I wanted to send you information as you or your staff consider your graduate school options. Our online coaching education emphasis at Georgia Southern University is designed for experienced coaches seeking to improve their knowledge and skill base as well as for individuals preparing to enter the coaching field. This master’s degree does not provide a teaching certification; however, it does meet state requirements and provides certified health and physical education teachers in Georgia a salary increase. Contact your local Board of Education to discuss your specific situation.

The program offers totally online courses in performance enhancement, coaching administration, athletic training and coaching effectiveness that can be completed in as little as 14 months. As one of only three nationally accredited programs, our curriculum follows National Coaching Standards for Level 5 Coaching Status. The program has also been ranked 2nd nationally for the Fifteen Best Online Coaching Education Degree Programs by Sports Management Degree Hub and ranked 4th nationally by Best College Reviews.

With the number of hours spent coaching, it is very difficult to find time to drive to another university’s campus. With this online program, you are able to complete your coursework according to your own schedule.

Our program does not require GRE scores to be admitted and is taught by full-time Georgia Southern faculty with a total of 116 years of coaching experience in 12 different sports. The approximate cost of the program is $15,000.

Are you ready to be apart of our next cohort this May? Applications are being accepted now until April 15, 2021.
